HB Studio’s Teaching Artists are working professionals who bring the immediacy of their own artistic practice into the studio. Actors, directors, writers and theater makers working across stage, film and TV, they teach from lived experience, connecting rigorous training to the evolving realities of the profession.
Many are part of a teaching lineage that reaches back to Herbert Berghof and Uta Hagen, as former artists shaped by their work. Together, they carry that legacy forward not by preserving it unchanged, but by putting its essential values of rigor and truth into active practice with each new generation of artists.
