A group of primarily international performing artists build a virtual ensemble committed to creating and eventually recording a variety of short digital segments loosely inspired by the theme, “Acts of Love.” Continuing and building upon the work started in the Spring 2020 “Acts of Love” Performance Lab, segments will include: stories/moments of remembered experience, music/song, movement/dance, comedy (sketch, stand-up, character, puppet-show, etc.). Footage will eventually be selected, edited and framed by an animated narrative, and added to the growing archive of Acts of Love videos on HB Studio’s YouTube channel.
We are seeking artists willing to support one another to take creative risks, and build this international, virtual ensemble, creating a safe space, using our work to make new connections with ourselves and one another.
Expected work outside of class for the term can vary between 8-16 hours.
Rehearsals will be conducted over Zoom videoconferencing, with some small groups meeting for in-person, outdoors, sessions and recording sessions, as desired and as safety permits.
AUDITION/INTERIVEWS:
Actors who are interested in joining this project for the first time are asked to schedule a 15 minute audition/interview with Director David Deblinger prior to registration. For your interview, please prepare an original story or song or poem or movement piece, loosely based on the words, “Acts of Love.” Interviews will be held in 15 minute increments from:

Interviews will take place on Zoom, and a link to the Zoom interview will be provided via email after signing up for your interview.
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE:
- September 18 – November 21:
- 11:30am-1pm on Fridays
- 12-1:30pm on Saturdays
Additional sessions will be scheduled by the group.
Rehearsals will be conducted online over Zoom.
