Presented by Richard Hoehler:
To be held in-person –
Whether you are new to acting or have some experience, this 5-week workshop is designed for those who are interested in exploring acting as a means of expression. Specifically designed acting exercises, improvisations, and mini scenes and monologues will help access your real self and better connect with your fellow actors. You will learn to be comfortable on stage and gain an understanding of acting technique: choosing a specific action as the means to work through obstacles and achieve your objective as a character.
First Steps is taught by Richard Hoehler who has over 30 years of experience acting, directing, writing, producing, and living in the world of theater. His work in prisons and with marginal populations has afforded him the unique ability to get to the heart of the work quickly and without judgement.
